MTA NYC: Chaos At Metropolitan Transportation Authority – World News Insight

MTA NYC is in Total Chaos as New York City is Buried in Massive Snowstorm

MTA NYC is in total Chaos as New York City is buried in massive snowstorm that hit the east coast on Sunday. Even the MTA website is sluggish as millions of people try to find a way to do an MTA trip planner for their day of transit.

The MTA says more than 400 buses were stranded New York City Sunday into Monday. Many driver simply abandoned their buses in the middle of streets and walked away. It left much of the city without bus service as crews had to go and attempt to rescue the buses.

Spokesman Charles Seaton says bus service was not suspended despite the problems. Multiple people complained to Fox 5 News that routes were not being served.

Another added problem was that drivers could not get to work to drive the buses on Monday morning.

An A train with 500 passengers aboard was stalled for more than six hours between the Aqueduct and Rockaway Blvd. stations overnight.

All fights at Newark, Kennedy and LaGuardia airports were suspended Monday morning, a Port Authority spokesman said. The agency was hoping to resume service in the early afternoon.

All bus lines canceled service in and out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Basically if you can avoid it you might as well not even bother looking at your MTA subway map today and just stay home to delight in another day of peace and silent
